قداسة البابا تواضروس الثاني يزور القنصلية المصرية في اسطنبول تركيا

زار قداسة البابا تواضروس الثاني مساء اليوم القنصلية المصرية في اسطنبول تركيا، حيث كان في استقبال قداسته والوفد المرافق السفير المصري الدكتور وائل بدوي والقنصل العام السفير حاتم الألفي، وطاقم القنصلية.

عبر القنصل المصري عن سعادته بزيارة قداسة البابا للقنصلية، مثمنًا زيارته لتركيا بوصفه رمز مصري كبير.

وبدأ قداسة البابا تواضروس الثاني أمس السبت جولة خارجية جديدة تشمل أربع دول، استهلها بزيارة تركيا حيث التقى قداسة البطريرك المسكوني برثلماوس الأول بطريرك القسطنطينية، وهو اللقاء الرسمي الأول بين بابا الإسكندرية وبطريرك القسطنطينية منذ جلوس قداسة البابا تواضروس الثاني على كرسي مار مرقس.

كما حضر قداسة البابا القداس البطريركي صباح اليوم الأحد، وتبودلت عقبه الكلمات الرسمية بين قداسته وقداسة البطريرك المسكوني، والتقى أعضاء اللجنة السينودسية للحوار بين المسيحيين والأديان، وأقيمت مأدبة غداء على شرف قداسته بمقر البطريركية المسكونية.

H.H. Pope Tawadros II Visits the Egyptian Consulate in Istanbul, Turkey

His Holiness Pope Tawadros II visited this evening the Egyptian Consulate in Istanbul, Turkey, where His Holiness and the accompanying delegation were received by the Egyptian Ambassador Dr. Wael Badawi, Consul General Ambassador Hatem El-Alfy, and the consulate staff.

The Egyptian Consul expressed his joy at the visit of His Holiness to the consulate, praising his visit to Turkey and describing him as a great Egyptian national symbol.

His Holiness Pope Tawadros II began a new overseas pastoral tour yesterday, Saturday, covering four countries. He commenced the visit in Turkey, where he met His All-Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew I, Patriarch of Constantinople, in the first official meeting between the Pope of Alexandria and the Patriarch of Constantinople since the enthronement of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II on the See of St. Mark.

Earlier today, His Holiness also attended the Patriarchal Divine Liturgy, after which official addresses were exchanged between His Holiness and His All-Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch. He also met members of the Synodal Committee for Dialogue among Christians and Religions, and a luncheon was held in his honor at the headquarters of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
